PAC 8000 NO Range 0-50ppm, alarm level 25ppm & 50ppm

With the robust Dräger Pac 8000, you'll be well equipped for tough conditions: this non-disposable, personal single-gas detection device is a reliable and precise instrument, which detects hazardous concentrations of 29 different gases, including special gases like Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Ozone (O3) or Phosgene (COCl2).

This PAC 8000 detects Nitrogen Oxide (NO).

Features:

  • Service life of 2 years
  • Lightweight and robust housing
  • Language-free displays
  • Event logger for up to 60 events
  • Easy to replace batteries and sensors
  • Replaceable dust and water filters
  • It has audible, visual and vibrating alarms
  • Rapid functional tests on site
  • Data logger and event logger for analyses and reports

Strong performance for maximum safety

The Drager Pac 8000 provides accurate readings at any time even under extreme conditions. The powerful sensors ensure quick reactions with a low t-90 response time. Additionally, the Pac 8000 also features a data and event logger for logging concentrations and events as well as the date and time.

Sensors for special gases

The Pac 8000 can be fitted with sensors for carbon dioxide (CO2), chlorine gas (Cl2), hydrogen cyanide (HCN), ammonia (NH3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), phosphine (PH3) and organic vapours (OV or OV-A). The Drager Pac 8000 performs well when detecting special gases. This detector can detect ozone (O3) from concentrations as low as 0.02 ppm and phosgene (COCL2) from 0.01 ppm. Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) can also be detected from concentrations as low as 0.04 ppm.

Robust design even for the toughest conditions

This multi-gas detector can easily handle even extreme conditions, and the sensors can tolerate air pressures between 700 and 1300 mbar. The sensor is protected by a membrane filter, ensuring dust and liquids don’t damage the sensor. The shock-proof, chemical-resistant housing meets the requirements specified in the IP 68 standard rating.

Easy handling thanks to clear user guidance

The Drager Pac 8000 has a D-Light which indicates when the device is ready for use. Additionally, this gas detection device makes use easy by having clear and visible colour coding, therefore reducing the chance of mistakes.

User-friendly display with all important information

The Pac 8000 features a clear, word-free display that shows the respective gas concentration, the unit of concentration, the battery capacity and other important information. Included also is bright backlighting which ensures that all values are clearly legible in the dark.

360° alarm with various functions

The Pac 8000 gas detector sets off an audible, visual and perceptible vibrating alarm. The alarm is visible from all sides as it contains two bright, flashing LEDs on the top and bottom of the device. The acoustic signal given off from the detector can reach a volume of 90 Db and the display can show the peak concentration measured at any given moment. Earlier alarms registered can also be retrieved later even if they have been acknowledged.

Economical operating costs

All Drager Pac 8000 sensors are equipped with extremely durable Drager Sensors® and a powerful battery. The Pac’s protective special membrane filter can be quickly and easily replaced whenever it becomes heavily soiled in use. In addition, the Pac does not require charging daily due to its powerful battery. All this helps keep operating costs low.

Fast function test saves time and money

With the use of the Drager X-dock calibration station, function tests and calibrations can be carried out efficiently. The short duration of the test and low gas consumption make the automatic X-dock bump tests very cost-efficient and convenient. The Pac 8000 is simply placed in the bump test station and automatically selects the correct setting.

** Please Note: As standard, this product requires calibration and necessary sensor warm-up before dispatch. As such, delivery times may vary, and next-day delivery may not be guaranteed.

With reference to the standard BS EN 60079-29-1, it is strongly recommended that this portable gas detection device is regularly functionally (Bump) tested.
