The Drager X-am 5000 is a 1-5 portable gas detector that can reliably measure combustible gases and vapours, oxygen, toxic gases, organic vapour, Odorant and Amine.
The Drager X am 5000 has a robust design and it is also dust and water resistant according to IP 67 standards. It also includes impact and vibration resistance through the rubber protection and shock-proof sensors. This portable multi-gas detector is also resistant to electromagnetic interference.
An optional external pump is also available, which operates with a hose up to 45 metres long, allowing to take pre-entry measurements with the detector before entering confined spaces.
The operating time of the detector can be increased to more than 40 hours by enabling the optional Save Energy Mode, which can be done by selecting a measurement interval of either 1 second, 10 or 20 seconds for the CatEx sensor. The Draeger X-am 5000 can also be used with a rechargeable NiMh T4 battery that can be charged while still in the device, and alkaline batteries can also be used.
