The standard XCD is an Ex d gas detector suitable for use in Zone 1environments and is available in 3 versions: flammable, Oxygen and toxic. Each is supplied with a pre-installed stainless steel sensor cartridge and fully tested and calibrated, ready for installation. Replacement sensor cartridges are available. Configuration and control of the Honeywell Sensepoint XCD Gas Detector are accomplished using a magnet, eliminating the need to open the device. Its tri-colour backlit display offers immediate visual feedback on the detector’s status, enabling quick and accurate assessment at a glance.

The XCD catalytic sensor detects flammable gases within a 0 to 100% LEL range, while the infrared (IR) sensor variants are designed to monitor methane (0 to 100% LEL), propane (including cross-sensitivities to ethylene and butane), and Carbon Dioxide (CO2). Both sensor types integrate with the flammable gas transmitter. Electrochemical cell (EC) sensors provide precise detection of oxygen and toxic gases such as Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), and Hydrogen (H2), offering comprehensive gas monitoring solutions.

All transmitters are also available with a Modbus interface as an option.
