The standard XCD is an Ex d gas detector designed for Zone 1 environments, available in three versions: flammable, oxygen, and toxic. Each device includes a stainless steel sensor cartridge pre-installed, thoroughly tested, and calibrated, ensuring it is installation-ready. Replacement sensor cartridges are available. The unit is configured and controlled via a magnet, eliminating the need to open the enclosure, while the tri-colour backlit display offers an immediate visual indication of the detector’s status.

The XCD catalytic sensor can be used to detect flammable gases in the range 0 to 100%LEL, while the infrared (IR) sensor versions are available for the detection of methane in the range 0 to 100%LEL, propane (with cross-sensitivities to ethylene and butane), and Carbon Dioxide (CO2). Both sensors function together with the flammable variant of the transmitter. Electrochemical cell (EC) sensors are offered for detecting oxygen and toxic gases such as Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), and Hydrogen (H2).

Each gas detector is provided with:

All transmitters are also available with a Modbus interface as an option.
