The standard XCD gas detector comes in three varieties: toxic, oxygen, and flammable, and is designed for Zone 1 hazardous situations. Each unit includes a pre-installed stainless steel sensor cartridge, fully tested and calibrated for immediate use. Replacement cartridges are also available for easy maintenance. The detector’s configuration and control are managed using a magnet, eliminating the need to open the device. A tri-colour backlit display offers clear, at-a-glance status updates, ensuring you stay informed and secure at all times.

The XCD catalytic sensor effectively detects flammable gases from 0 to 100% LEL. Infrared (IR) sensor models are designed to monitor methane within the same range, as well as propane, with sensitivity to ethylene and butane, and carbon dioxide (CO2). Both sensor types integrate seamlessly with the flammable gas transmitter for reliable performance. Electrochemical cell (EC) sensors ensure thorough safety monitoring by precisely detecting oxygen and dangerous gases like carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and hydrogen (H2).
