The Series 3000 range of transmitters provide thorough monitoring of toxic and Oxygen gas hazards in potentially combustible environments. They're available in two versions and are suitable for mounting indoors and outdoors. The Series 3000 Mkll is encased in a flameproof housing and has an intrinsically safe sensor connection. It is mainly for use in Zone 1 applications. Although, the Series 3000 Mkll sensor can be mounted in a Zone 0 environment through the use of an optional remote mounting kit. The Series 3000 MkIII is for use with a separate suitable IS barrier (to be ordered separately) allowing the complete transmitter to be used in Zone 0 applications.

The Series 3000 gas detectors are ideal for both new and retrofit installations, as they all feature a loop powered 4-20mA connection. The detector can be configured easily through the use of its simple and convenient features, such as its intuitive interface and straightforward LCD. Additionally, the fault diagnostic software and programmable calibration period that this device contains allow for simple and uncomplicated maintenance procedures.

The intrinsically safe smart sensors are efficient in use, and can save time and money during commissioning and routine maintenance, as they are supplied pre-configured and can be 'hot swapped' without having to remove power to the detector. These can be ideal for operation in hard-to-reach areas since they can be mounted up to 15 m (50 ft) with the use of a remote sensor mounting kit.

Series 3000 MkII and Mk III are supplied with all necessary accessories for easy installation. The detector has 4 mounting lugs for surface mounting and an optional pipe mounting kit. Through the use of either conduit or cable, with appropriate mechanical protection, an electrical installation can be made. These detectors are available in painted Marine Grade Aluminium or Stainless Steel 316 with two ¾” NPT entries or two M20 entries with a suitable blanking plug (certification type dependant) included as standard. A weatherproof cap is also included for use int the most extreme weather conditions.
