The standard XCD is an Ex d gas detector designed for Zone 1 hazardous areas and comes in three variants: flammable, oxygen, and toxic gas detection. Each unit includes a pre-installed stainless steel sensor cartridge, fully tested and calibrated for immediate installation. Replacement sensor cartridges are also available. The device is configured and controlled via a magnet, eliminating the need to open the enclosure, while its tri-colour backlit display delivers clear, immediate status updates for quick assessment.

The XCD catalytic sensor detects flammable gases within a 0 to 100% LEL range. Infrared (IR) sensor variants are designed to measure methane over the same range, propane, with sensitivity to ethylene and butane, and carbon dioxide (CO2). Both sensor types operate with the flammable transmitter model. Electrochemical cell (EC) sensors are available to monitor oxygen and hazardous gases, including carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and hydrogen (H2).

Each unit is delivered complete with:

• hex keys

All transmitters are also available with a Modbus interface as an option.
