MDX-T-006 Midas® EX Transmitter Extractive Single-Point Gas Detection System.

The Midas® EX, developed by Honeywell, is an extractive single-point gas detection sampling system that is certified explosion-proof (IECEx & ATEX), which offers both reliability and improved safety, and features factory-calibrated sensors that provide accurate readings and measurements. This gas detector can draw samples locally or remotely to a sensor cartridge inside the detector's chassis.

The Midas® EX can detect a variety of gases. Asphyxiant, toxic, flammable, pyrophoric, corrosive and oxidizer (including oxygen) gas sensor cartridges are available.

This single-point gas detection system is designed to be simple and efficient with easy installation and with a 4-button keypad, which allows for easy set-up, review, operation and configuration. The Midas® EX can be easily mounted on a wall or pipe, and its small and compact design makes it suitable for complex environments that are tight for space. Included also is a clear and visible graphics display screen, providing instant alerts, gas readings and alarms as well as gas concentration, failure and status information via backlit LCD and LEDs.

The Midas® EX features flexible power and communication capabilities. This includes 3 on-board relays: 0-21 mA analogue output, Power over Ethernet (PoE) and MODBUS/TCP outputs.

Relay Remote Control

The Midas® EX is controlled remotely with a TCP/IP-based MODBUS command. This is the ability to collect and control gas values from the remote locations for relay output.
