This PASS device is designed to be used with any SCBA and can be worn with or without breathing apparatus. The user can be quickly located when in trouble with this innovative product, due to its clear, twin fascia warning lights and distinctive sonic alarms. This is achieved by utilising proven technology from the Dräger Bodyguard 7000, together with a new and innovative signal design
The rugged design of the Dräger Bodyguard 1000 means the device will perform reliably no matter how extreme the environment is. It is watertight according to IP 67 standards and is designed for use in temperatures ranging from -30 °C up to 60 °C.
A straight forward push button function ensures simple operation of this PASS device even when wearing gloves. Upon start-up the unit will perform an automatic full €Ëself check€„¢. There is no risk of the unit being accidently switched off during use due to the option of tally insertion or two-button push, depending on the operating mode.
The Dräger Bodyguard 1000 is free of periodic maintenance, with only the battery to replace when required. There is an optional alligator clip or securing clam available to use with this PASS device which can be quickly and securely fitted to any SCBA, in any position, whether at the shoulder, waist or backplate.
